Personal Injury Could I Have A Case?

last year in home ec my teacher made the cl knit scarves for a semester test grade. the teacher didnt know how to knit and didnt tell the cl that injuries could come from knittiing improperly. now i've been diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome and can't type, text, or even push ons on the tv remote! (using pencil to type this) and i can't get a job that involves any on pressing at all. most jobs involve some type of computer work. im only 16 and carpal tunnel is for life. could i sue the school and recieve financial compensation for loss of livelihood?
