Which should I read for my summer project? The Chosen by Chiam Potok or Nectar of a Sieve byKamala Markandaya?

For honors English 10 this summer I have to read 3 novels and write about them. I'm going to read Pride and Prejudice and A Thousand Splendid Suns, both books I have been wanting to read. For each book my project is to find the deeper meaning, identify literary devices, define quotes, topics, themes, irony, and things like that. And I can't decide between The Chosen or Nectar in a Sieve as my third choice. Any reviews on either that would be best to do a project on?
