Girlfriend bought me a thoughtless Xmas gift?

For Xmas I bought my girlfriend of 6-months -- a new watch, earrings, and salon gift certificate. I also took us to NY. She got me chocolates and one of those shaving kits you get at the pharmacy. I'm not mad, but the gift seems quite thoughtless. And I know she isn't suffering financially so her gift choice wasn't because it was all she could afford. Could this be a sign that she doesn't really care about me? An ex-girlfriend who is now married even got me something more thougtful.
