Hit men are real?

are hitmen real i just got done watching the movie hit man and i think that hitmen are fake just another urban myth when i was younger people used to talk about the mafia and hit men like they could just be hired to get rid of someone you wanted them to but the only org i known to be real are gangs like bloods and crypts are hitmen real and could anyone just hire one if thats case allot of uf are at risk from being killed by our enemies
