My laptop will not fully turn on when I try too?

...frick! I bought this laptop a month ago. I saved up for MONTHS to get a decent laptop, think this one I got is great..and I month later...BLAM! I turn it on, the green light showing that the on is on is on, but the screen is black and the fan inside doesn't sound like it running. I'm really mad..I feel like I wasted $220 dollars on NOTHING.I'm still a teen and I don't know much of what to do and can't get a job yet to get another laptop. PLEASE HELP!!!! ;A; It's an Acer Aspire ONE notebook.
