Preparing for Object C, what should I do?

I am youngish, but in this economy we need to start out strong. I need to learn Object C, what do you suggest I should learn first (can oly be on the web, saving, see for what further in)? I want to be able to get enough money for a MacBook by next year. So even if they come out with something new, I don't have to buy a whole new program. Anyways, I need to know what programming I should know before I take on Objective C, and what are some good Objective C tutorials? Please be specific in what I need to know.
