What do you think of pugs?

my husband and i have just got an older pug for our family. we got him as we had read and heard nothing but good things about the breed. hes great gets along fab with our other dog and is amazing with our children. im just wondering other peoples views on them, before we got him i always thought they were ugly weird looking dogs lol but i think hes so cute and has so much personality hes very loveable.
