Whats a good dvd burning program?

i used to use express burning or something like that bust only 1 dvd player played the cd, the other dvd no... my pc was able to play them too, any other good dvd burner program or something so it can be played everywhere? aah and the quality after i made the dvds wasnt as good before i burned it
